GitHub Agentic Workflows
Open-source GitHub Next project, generally available Oct 28, 2026: write repository automations in plain Markdown and gh aw compiles them into hardened GitHub Actions workflows run by Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity or your own agent. Ready-made workflows triage issues, diagnose CI failures, update docs, add tests and open pull requests. Agents are read-only by default, sandboxed behind a firewall, and only declared writes are applied, with per-run and daily AI-credit caps. Free on GitHub Free, Team and Enterprise; the default Copilot engine needs a Copilot license, other engines use your own API keys.
